The IT Specialist maintains and improves the technical systems of the school’s infrastructure. Their key role is to ensure all staff have the adequate functioning technology needed. In addition, they ensure all important files and information remain safe and intact.
Roles & Responsibilities

· Maintains IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
· Reviews diagnostics and access the functionality and efficiency of the organizations systems
· Implements appropriate security measures
· Monitors security certificates and company compliance of requirements
· Offers technical support to company staff and troubleshoot technology inquiries
· Installs and updates company software and hardware as needed
· Installs, replaces, or updates new software and hardware components
· Assists with network administration tasks
· Ensures data storage is safe and secure
· Performs routine network assessments
· Responds to technical inquiries regarding company IT systems and software
· Ensures all faculty are abreast on network security and best practices for computer usage
· Supports the day-to-day operations of our computer network.
· Stay abreast of IT local, state, and national updates and best practices.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by the supervisor and/or administration
Requirements
This position requires a creative and inspiring individual with experience, high energy, and excellent organizational abilities. Applicants must demonstrate:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical discipline, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT or database administration
· Experience working with the following: Mac OS, Windows 10, Windows 11, & Windows Server 2008 operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange / Office 365, Network Storage, Azure, Unifi & Meraki devices
· Experience setting up and troubleshooting various technical equipment such as but not limited to laptops, video conferencing systems, mobiles, phone systems, etc.
· Working knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, HTML, Java, etc.)
· Preferred specialized training Certifications (e.g., CCNS, CISSP, MCSE), including CompTIA Security , Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Security)
· On-the-job training may be required or preferred for candidates working with some of our unique IT needs
· Ability to multi-task

Physical Demands
Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling/carrying, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
